In case you were wondering about the actual platform of Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, this enumerates it. It sounds good to me!

MAGA was already losing their cool over Dr. Abdul El-Sayed winning the Michigan Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. Their harshest criticisms couldn't even name any of his policy positions. Apparently, their bigotry and racism are so bad that MAGA can't get past his faith. At least he has one!
Now that their nemesis, Kamala Harris, has endorsed the good doctor, MAGA's white supremacy is going to go into overdrive with fury. Fury that is blinding them to all the ways his platform could HELP them, including:
Universal healthcare. As a physician and former public health official, El-Sayed has made Medicare for All the centerpiece of his career. He advocates Medicare coverage for every American, no premiums, deductibles, or copays, expanded coverage for dental, vision, hearing, mental health, and prescription drugs, and for government negotiation of all drug prices.
Lowering the cost of living, arguing that affordability is the defining issue for most Americans and proposes affordable housing initiatives, universal childcare, lower prescription drug costs, stronger Social Security benefits, ending Medicare cost-sharing, and property tax relief for seniors.
Taxing wealth and reducing corporate power on the understanding that government should work for ordinary people rather than wealthy interests. He supports higher taxes on billionaires and the wealthy, raising or eliminating the Social Security payroll tax cap, stronger antitrust enforcement, and reducing the influence of corporate money in politics.
Strengthening labor and rebuilding worker bargaining power through protecting unions and collective bargaining, raising wages, stronger workplace protections, and trade policies that prioritize American workers over multinational corporations.
Climate and environmental protection through investment in clean energy, stronger regulation of industrial pollution, environmental justice for communities disproportionately affected by pollution, and conditions on AI data center development to protect electricity rates, jobs, and the environment.
Immigration reform, including abolishing ICE in its current form and replacing it with a different immigration enforcement system, and expanding legal immigration pathways while maintaining border security through other agencies.
Technology regulation with strict AI safety standards, Democratic oversight of advanced AI, worker protections against automation, public sharing of some economic gains from AI development, and limits on the concentration of AI industry power.
You know...the same things that made America free and powerful while creating the greatest economic prosperity ever seen for the vast majority of Americans.
I'm down with that, and MAGA should be too....it's right their in their name.
