ANS -- Why Palestinian supporters are hypocrites

I think this article is fairly neutral -- your mileage may vary.  Some of the commenters on the site are quite sure the author is prejudiced against Palestinians.  But there's so much baloney out there about the history and who's doing what to whom,...  Anyway, read it.

Why Palestinian supporters are hypocrites

Yes, everyone who supports Palestine and Hamas particularly is a hypocrite, and I'm going to explain to you why.

First, let's clarify a few key questions:

  1. Is Israel occupying the West Bank? Yes
  2. Is Gaza an open prison? Absolutely, yes, it is
  3. Does Israeli occupation make life easier for the Palestinians? No, of course not
  4. Has the Hamas terrorist attack from October 7 happened in a vacuum? Of course not.
  5. Do Israeli air strikes kill civilians? Of course, they do.

If you happen to be born in Gaza, your chances in life are close to zero just because you were born there.

Let me paint for you what it is to be a 21-year-old in Gaza. You are born in misery, you don't have an education, you can't help your parents or brothers if they are sick because there is no medicine, you don't have a job, you don't have money, Israel probably bombed your house. The only thing you know is violence and a distorted version of Islam that preaches violence. And everyone, from your parents, grandparents, friends, political leaders, media, everyone is blaming Israel over and over again. So you are convinced any suffering in your life is caused by Israel.

Hamas, which runs Gaza, is not interested in building schools hospitals, or creating a fair education system. They want you, a 21-year-old Palestinian, to think every single problem in your life is 100% caused by Israel.

In these conditions, is killing civilians in Israel justified for those terrorists? Not only is it justified, it is mandatory for them.

I see all the analysts keep saying terrorism is not justified. Yes, for people who have better things to do with their lives, it is unimaginable, but for Gazans, it is at least an idea they consider.

Hamas has a simple business model: use desperate Gazans to attack Israel and get paid by Iran and others. For Hamas, people in Gaza are some sort of ideological slaves.

Now, if we are in line with these basic things, let me explain to you why Palestinian supporters are all hypocrites.

Short history lesson

The 'Free Palestine' slogan does not refer to an independent Palestinian state. They have had plenty of chances to build a state since 1948, when the UN proposed a two-state solution. Who rejected the proposal? Palestine, and then all Israel's neighbors attacked, I mean all of them, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, against a tiny country with a few million.

Israel won in 1948, but Palestine still can't accept Israel as a state. Then, in 1967, everyone attacked Israel again, and Israel won because they were smarter than everyone else. Their only chance is to be smart. They occupied a lot of land, including Gaza, the West Bank, the Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights.

What happened? Israel tried to negotiate a permanent peace with its neighbors, offering the conquered territories back.

Everyone rejected it, and in 1973, Israel was attacked again. Oh, and in 1972, the 11 athletes of the Israeli Olympic delegation were massacred in Munich by a pro-Palestinian organization named Black September, but that's a tiny detail in our story.

In 1973, everyone except Jordan attacked Israel again in what is known today as the Yom Kippur War. Israel won, and they tried again to give the land back in exchange for permanent peace.

This time, Egypt was on board with that. Israel returned the Sinai peninsula to Egypt, and Egyptian President Anwar El-Sadat visited Israel and gave a speech in the Knesset (Israeli parliament). Since then, Egypt accepted Israel as a state, and peace has been achieved between the two countries. Syria and Palestine still rejected any peace proposal.

Now that's a short history lesson, don't believe me, check the facts.

Hamas has not been there since yesterday, it has been there for years.

Hamas has not attacked Israel since 2023. No, they have been attacking Israel for years, mostly with missiles.

Hamas first employed suicide bombing in April 1993, five months before PLO leader Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin signed the Oslo Accords.

Hamas is not interested in liberating Palestine. They just want to destroy Israel and kill as many Israelis as possible.

Imagine you are an Israeli citizen, and a few times a month, you have to interrupt your shower, see your kids and pets hiding under the bed in fear, and probably see a few houses destroyed by Hamas missiles. What do you expect your government to do? Yes, the correct answer is to protect you.

However, your government, Israel, decides to strike back from time to time and install a missile defense system that is supposed to protect you, but not go into Gaza and destroy Hamas.

This country tolerated a bunch of terrorists only a few km away from your home who are dedicated to killing you, your family, and your pets, and they have done that for years. Would you, a citizen of France, Germany, the USA, Britain, Poland, Italy, Spain etc. accept that?

I mean, imagine a single missile is fired from Cuba anywhere near Florida. In less than 6 hours, the government in Havana will be permanently relocated to Guantanamo. And again, Israel has tolerated thousands of missiles for years.

When a Palestinian is telling you that land is their home, they are right. When an Israeli is telling you that land is their home, they are also right.

Both people have the same right to be there. The argument I keep seeing everywhere: who has been there first, Arabs or Jews, that's simply moronic. It works in primary school. If you are born in that place, that's your home, no matter what happened thousands of years ago, simply because it is moronic to blame people from the present for their ancestors.

So, if everyone has the right to be in that same place, they must not try to kill the other ones. Since Jewish people arrived in Palestine in the 1930s and 1940s, the Arabs tried to kill them, and against all odds, Israelis proved to be more prepared to defend themselves to the point of being now one of the top 3 innovative centers in the world.

Israelis must be 10 times more prepared than their enemies or die. They can't afford to take chances or make mistakes. Even a tiny mistake, such as not having enough border defense during Yom Kippur, can prove to be fatal. If Israeli soldiers want to spend more time during holidays with their families, being more relaxed, something terrible can happen. You know, it is not France, or Britain, or America. In Israel, you have to be prepared for the worst all the time.

Anyone who would be Israel's prime minister would have to go to war in Gaza

It doesn't matter what the UN says. It doesn't matter what the US says. If you are Israel's PM, you have to protect your people. You simply cannot tolerate Hamas a few km away from Israelis' homes any longer.

Any country would do the same. I could argue Israel is the only country that tolerates terrorist organizations such as Hamas or Hezbollah, which are dedicated to killing Israelis a few km away from their borders.

Again, just imagine Al Qaeda and Daesh are located in Mexico and Canada, and the US president doesn't do anything about that.

Who can realistically expect Israel not to go to war? But instead negociate. No one, that's why they are hypocrites.

If Israel does not retaliate, or even worse, if they start negotiating now, that would be an open invitation for more similar attacks from Hamas. It is like giving them what they want after they killed 1400 Israeli civilians.

Of course, people in Gaza are killed, and some of them see Hamas as freedom fighters. They don't have a chance of education. All they know is Israel is the source of all evil. Like North Koreans, who think the US is the source of their problems. And, yes, to some extent, it is true. Still, the real problem is the dictatorship, the distorted Islam that preaches violence and which makes these people fire rockets from schools, hospitals, and kitchens, the constant refusal to accept Israel as a state, the constant hunger and violence, the money from Iran and Qatar who are using them as pawns in a weird chess game.

It is not fair for Palestinians. It is not fair for Israelis, either. Who's to blame?

Mostly politicians who used the tensions for political reasons, from Israel, the US, Palestine, Iran, Russia, and China everywhere. This conflict is very personal, fueled with emotions. It is a cultural phenomenon exploited by politicians from all sides. They are first to blame.

Then, the way we govern this planet. The UN, which is supposed to keep peace around the world, had in 2023 a budget of 3.4 billion, which is 0,38% of the US defense budget for context. And the UN is supposed to solve all conflicts around the world. In other words, humanity chooses to keep anarchy on the international stage.
