Electric Car Company, Inc. Finalizes Exclusive Manufacturing and Distributor Agreement With Sunbeam Motorsports, Inc.
The Company Will Begin Manufacturing Three New Models of "Pure Electric" Vehicles for Availability in 2010
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Jul 15, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Electric Car Company, Inc. /quotes/comstock/11k!elcr (ELCR 0.00, 0.00, 0.00%) , a vehicle conversion Company that specializes in electric conversions and manufacturing for the Livery and Fleet Markets, announced today that it has finalized an exclusive agreement with Sunbeam Motorsports, Inc. to manufacture and distribute six new models of 100% "Pure Electric" and solar hybrid low cost vehicles for the USA territory. Agreement will also give Electric Car Company the exclusive rights to market and sell the new vehicles to the Company's existing customer base and to authorize new dealers in the United States.
The Company will utilize the manufacturing expertise of its wholly owned subsidiary Imperial Coach Works, Inc., and its custom manufacturing division, Imperial Coach Builders, Inc. to manufacture the cars to specifications. The Agreement requires Sunbeam to supply to Imperial the incomplete auto vehicles bodies and chassis as well as electric drive trains and batteries to be assembled and tested at the Company's 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Springfield, MO. The Company expects to reach its goal to manufacture up to 10 vehicles a day within the first 12 months of operation.
Electric Car will begin the manufacturing of three (3) "Pure Electric" models that will include the Sunbeam Bolt(TM) in both 3 wheel and 4 wheel designs, the Sunbeam SX(TM) and the Sunbeam Roadster Convertible. The Sunbeam National Warranty(TM) network providing over 20,000 service locations within the U.S. and Canada for long-term customer support of Sunbeam vehicles will back all models.

Some unique features include notification to car owner if vehicle is tampered with or unauthorized use. The FasTrax(TM) will also locate your vehicle real-time and will even inform the car owner how fast the vehicle is traveling.
