This is short. It's about how many we think there are versus how many there actually are, pertaining to religious groups. As somone said in the comments -- it's a measure of how much space they take up in our heads.

In 2022, YouGov asked Americans about the size of a bunch of religious groups.
The median guess for the share of atheists in the United States was 28%.
In actuality, it's ~5%.
Jews were estimated at 25%
They are <2%.
Muslims were estimated at 20%
They are ~ 1%.
