I have some trouble with this. Everyone including Bernie Sanders recognizes the need to adjust SS. That doesn't mean a "cut" in benefits necessarily.  The main proposal is to lift the cap of income contributions, so higher salaries pay into it longer. Another idea is to put a ceiling on benefits for those earning higher incomes. SS is good until ~2035 or so then more revenue will be needed to keep from cutting benefits. We need to figure this out better and state our preferences.  I usually like the young Turks, but let's be careful here.
