Here is a short article on who is really causing the current inflation.  Do you agree?

Democrats! Stop being defeatist. Use this message on inflation to win the 2022 election.

Are you tired of Republicans and Neoliberals turning the good done by Progressives on its head? If we want to win, then we must assign the blame for inflation where it belongs.

Inflation is corporate theft.

Watch Politics Done Right T.V. here.

Before going into the core of this article I want to state some inconvenient truths that the mainstream media and the corporatocracy want you to see but not see and confirm. Have you been to the grocery store? Are the shelves empty? Probably not. Have you gone to buy gasoline? Have you seen any out of gasoline signs?

I can repeat those questions over and over and get the same reply from my listeners in every state. The one thing everybody knows is that they are paying more for everything.

Here is a quick economic lesson in an honest economy. If you do not have a substantial shortage of products or services, there is no justification for the high inflation we are seeing. This is a transfer of wealth from most of us to a few.

To prove the previous statement, review the S&P 500 profits. They are at record levels. That is the money they took from you and are giving to the corporate shareholders and to the executives in the form of bonuses. Again, your money is taken away because the corporations have the power to do it, pricing power. Their costs did not go up substantially because again they are making record profits.

We have got to stop believing the indoctrinating crap from the Right-Wing media and often the mainstream media. They are all at some level owned by those who must keep us ill-informed.

Chuck Todd thought he would pull one over Faiz Shakir, Senior Advisor to Bernie Sanders. He asked him if Bernie Sanders was ready to accept that the stimulus-caused inflation.

Shakir disagreed.

"This again," Faiz Shakir said. "It hurts my soul around this site because if you are the Biden administration and other Democrats, this is an opportunity to lean in."

He then explains about the stimulus and corporate legalized thievery.

"And what happened with the stimulus checks? Shakir said. "We gave money into people's pockets, child tax credit, you know, unemployment insurance benefits and stimulus checks. What happened when we gave that money up? Corporations came around and stole it. That's what happened. They took it back out of your paycheck. Why? Because they wanted to report, not profits, Chuck, record profits. S&P 500, You look at their profits off the charts. That was a choice by corporations. Yeah. I could raise that potato bag of potato chips by $0.25. I could increase the cost of this car by $1,000. But everyone thinks there are supply chain snarls out there."

Faiz pointed out that inflation was a choice by corporations. They knew Americans had a few extra dollars in their pockets via the stimulus and decided to steal them. They increased their prices not for profits but for record profits.

Shakir also made it clear that he does not think Democrats and Progressives are fighting. He wants them to put bills on the floor even if they can't get them through. Why, Americans will see those who are trying to make their lives better instead of those in the pockets of the plutocracy, those paid off by the corporations.

Chuck Todd asks him if inflation should be on corporations.

"One hundred percent," Shakir said. "Maybe there should be some price increases. But what happened was price gouging, price collusion, corporate power in America trying to reach into your pockets and say, 'Oh, I see you got some money. It's coming back to me.' And if you just look at the record profits of these corporations, that is the fight. If people are asking, who the hell's going to take them on? It is the government's responsibility to take that fight."

Politics Done Right has been trying to get this narrative in circulation. Economics Professor Dr. Richard Wolff appeared on our program as well with a similar statement on inflation,

I would add another piece as well. Corporations want us to pay not only for their record profits but the cost of their blunders. The supply chain problem is the cost of their greed. They chose to combine offshoring and just-in-time-inventory, which leaves no slack for wars, pandemics, or climate change.

If a needed stimulus to bring the masses some relief is inflationary, then our economic system is a fraud. Then again, I have been saying that for decades.
